These pictures were chosen to demonstrate my photography journey. The photos are in no real order, hopefully it's apparent which ones i took first. When I first started to take pictures with my camera, they were mostly just random shots of trees and clouds. As my knowledge of photography grew, my pictures became more complex. I started to take shots with difficult composition, so i could showcase the new things i learned.
The picture chosen for this project was a frame from an old photography project where I blew colorful cornstarch towards the camera. The electric-like pattern shining through the base picture is another project from photography dedicated to manipulating the slow shutter feature on the average camera. The piano was a stock image that i cropped out and applied neon colors to placing them onto a picture of clouds I took when i first purchased my digital camera.
the idea behind this photo is the voice of the heart. I wanted to capture the emotion of hearing music for the first time, as well as listening to your heart. I used a wacom intuos tablet to create this image. creating this image took me 46 hours and 13 minutes to complete. In the background i used a few soundwave stock images.
for this piece i wanted to illustrate how i view music through my own style and give insight to how it effects identity. I used a 32 pack of copic markers, sharpies, and 0.7 mechanical pencils in my process, starting with the sketch, and ending with inking.
